Abstract

|
Sarcoidosis is a granulomatous disease involving multiple organs, and pathologically, it presents with non-caseating granulomata. Cranial nerve palsy is common neurologic sign in neurosarcoidosis. Herein, we report a patient with isolated cranial neuropathy associated with neurosarcoidosis without other medical history and general symptoms. Because the isolated neurologic symptom can frequently mystify the correct diagnosis, biopsy for detecting the non-caseating granulomata at skin, lung, or even meninges should be accomplished to diagnose sarcoidosis.
